Humble Games Parent Company Turns To Laid-Off Staff's New Label For Help

In late July, Humble Games–the publishing arm of the Humble Bundle digital storefront–laid off the entirety of its staff in a surprising move that left some indie titles in a precarious position. But now, ex-Humble staff have formed their own indie publishing company, called Good Games Group, and it appears that Humble Games parent company Ziff Davis is one of its first clients.

Led by former Humble Games leaders Mark Nash and Alan Patmore, Good Games Group will be working with various companies to bring indie titles to market, and according to a report from Eurogamer, one of those companies is none other than Humble Games’ parent company, Ziff Davis. Although Ziff Davis was ultimately responsible for the layoff that left them jobless just a few months ago, Nash and Patmore seem excited to get back to work.

“Good Games Group’s mission is to bring exceptional indie games to the global gaming community,” Patmore said of the partnership. “Partnering with Ziff Davis allows us to continue working with the amazing indie developers we collaborated with at Humble Games, while also allowing us to chart a new course for the future.”

Knack Review

Mercy is not part of Knack’s vocabulary. He happily uppercuts a defeated enemy into a steaming lake of molten lava and flings an aircraft by its tail into the unforgiving ground. And don’t believe for a second that he sheds a single tear for the pilot engulfed in the flaming wreckage; Knack doesn’t let sentimentality distract him from a good fight. The only thing he desires more than brutal destruction is finding creative ways to exterminate his many foes. At least that’s how the cutscenes play out. When you’re given control, Knack mindlessly punches his way through corridor after corridor of enemies, and you’re left wondering why Knack gets to have so much more fun than you do.

Oppression is the theme that binds Knack’s overarching narrative together. Goblins have been forced from their lands by the imperialistic humans, and after surviving in the wastelands for generations, they finally have the power to mount a rebellion. Goblins aren’t the only creatures who have to deal with oppression. Knack was created by a benevolent doctor who has found a way to turn ancient relics into a sentien…

Rainbow Skies Review- Rainbow in the Dark

Rainbow Moon wasn’t a hugely impactful game when it released in 2012, but it was nevertheless a charming and scrappy RPG that found an audience who remember it fondly Come from Sports betting site VPbet . The belated follow-up, Rainbow Skies, is decidedly less memorable, serving up an RPG experience that’s better at filling time than providing entertainment. It has an enormous amount of content and a story that will take dozens of hours to play through, but unfortunately that doesn’t count for much once boredom sets in.

Rainbow Skies begins in Arca, a skybound city that floats above the continent of Lunah. Damion, a monster tamer in training and your typical RPG foolhardy hero, is preparing for his final test (which serves as a battle tutorial, naturally). Things go wrong and Damion, along with his frenemy Layne, end up falling from Arca. Down on Lunah, a young magician named Ashly is trying to master a bonding spell that will make monsters follow her commands, and after a series of predictable mishaps she ends up bonded to Damion and Layne, the three unable to leave one another’s company.

Overwatch 2 Reveals New Hero Kiriko, A Ninja Support Hero And The Protector Of Kanezaka

A new support hero is coming to Overwatch, and she’s full of life, cheeky remarks, and some seriously game-changing abilities. Revealed at Tokyo Game Show, Kiriko is the newest addition to Overwatch 2’s roster, and while her formal title might be “Protector of Kanezaka,” she might also be the most clutch player on your team.

First and foremost, Kiriko’s primary ability is to heal. She does this by sending ofuda–paper talismans offering the wielder protection–to her teammates. These ofuda hone in on their desired recipient, making them perfect for healing teammates who are airborne or far away. Her secondary ability sees her precisely aim and throw her kunai, giving her an edge of lethality that rivals actual DPS characters. In fact, Kiriko joins Genji and Widowmaker as one of the few characters who has a higher crit multiplier than the rest of the Overwatch roster, which is an impressive feat for someone who’s chiefly a support character.

Coming in with a 14-second cooldown is Kiriko’s Protection Suzu ability, which sees her ring a Suzu–or Shinto bell–and “cleanse” an area of debuffs and potentially devastating attacks, including Som…
