Sea Of Thieves Finally Gets A Much-Requested Feature After More Than 6 Years

Rare has finally broken the pirate’s curse in Sea of Thieves that kept players from bending their knees. That’s right–buccaneers can finally crouch in the multiplayer action-adventure after exactly six years, six months, and 27 days.

But who’s counting? Well, Rare actually is, as the Sea of Thieves studio shared the fun fact on X. A short clip also shows off the flexibility of a pirate in the game, with some silly fanfare to celebrate to boot. It’s all part of a Season-14 push for “sneaky strategies,” per the developer.

Season 14 for Sea of Thieves is officially called Making Mischief. On top of crouching, Rare highlights the free update’s additions of disguises, a grapple gun, and a blowpipe with darts in a YouTube video. The newest season went live yesterday, October 17.

Earlier this year, Sea of Thieves became one of four Xbox games to come out on rival platforms, as the multiplayer-centric title launched on PS5. This expansion to Sony’s system led to the title getting added to GameSpot’s 25 best cross-platform games to play with friends. Xbox and PlayStation players can sail the high seas together.

Dungeons And Dragons Movie Adds Bridgerton Star Rege-Jean Page

The long-in-development Dungeons & Dragons movie has reportedly added Bridgerton star Rege-Jean Page to its cast. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Page has only recently closed the deal, which sees him joining an ever-growing cast of impressive names.

Page joins Justice Smith (Detective Pikachu) and Michelle Rodriguez (The Fast and the Furious), who were announced as new cast members for the movie earlier this month. Chris Pine (Wonder Woman 1984) was cast back in December.

Dungeons & Dragons doesn’t yet have a release date, its plot is still being kept a secret, and none of these new cast members have even had their roles disclosed. Other than it being a safe bet that the film is going to be a fantasy with some dungeons and dragons in it, it’s still anyone’s guess what the movie will have in store. However, this is not exactly a shock since an earlier Dungeons & Dragons movie was released in 2000 starring Oscar-winner Jeremy Irons, but the movie was both a commercial and critical failure–so it’s also safe to assume this new movie’s creators want to come correct. What’s also not a shock is that the…

Elden Ring- Where To Get Ancient Death Rancor

Most of Elden Ring’s sorceries and incantations only require investment in a single stat to use, but in the case of some of the game’s Death Sorceries, players may find themselves needing to pump up both Intelligence and Faith to make use of them Come from Sports betting site VPbet . Such is the case with Ancient Death Rancor, making it a niche spell for most–but if your build is suitable, read on to find out where to grab this deadly sorcery.

Ancient Death Rancor explained

Ancient Death Rancor is a sorcery that requires 34 Intelligence and 24 Faith to cast. It summons vengeful spirits that chase down and damage enemies. However, due to its unusual stat requirements, it’s best used only for niche builds and wouldn’t make sense for most sorcerers.

Humble Games Parent Company Turns To Laid-Off Staff's New Label For Help

In late July, Humble Games–the publishing arm of the Humble Bundle digital storefront–laid off the entirety of its staff in a surprising move that left some indie titles in a precarious position. But now, ex-Humble staff have formed their own indie publishing company, called Good Games Group, and it appears that Humble Games parent company Ziff Davis is one of its first clients.

Led by former Humble Games leaders Mark Nash and Alan Patmore, Good Games Group will be working with various companies to bring indie titles to market, and according to a report from Eurogamer, one of those companies is none other than Humble Games’ parent company, Ziff Davis. Although Ziff Davis was ultimately responsible for the layoff that left them jobless just a few months ago, Nash and Patmore seem excited to get back to work.

“Good Games Group’s mission is to bring exceptional indie games to the global gaming community,” Patmore said of the partnership. “Partnering with Ziff Davis allows us to continue working with the amazing indie developers we collaborated with at Humble Games, while also allowing us to chart a new course for the future.”

Knack Review

Mercy is not part of Knack’s vocabulary. He happily uppercuts a defeated enemy into a steaming lake of molten lava and flings an aircraft by its tail into the unforgiving ground. And don’t believe for a second that he sheds a single tear for the pilot engulfed in the flaming wreckage; Knack doesn’t let sentimentality distract him from a good fight. The only thing he desires more than brutal destruction is finding creative ways to exterminate his many foes. At least that’s how the cutscenes play out. When you’re given control, Knack mindlessly punches his way through corridor after corridor of enemies, and you’re left wondering why Knack gets to have so much more fun than you do.

Oppression is the theme that binds Knack’s overarching narrative together. Goblins have been forced from their lands by the imperialistic humans, and after surviving in the wastelands for generations, they finally have the power to mount a rebellion. Goblins aren’t the only creatures who have to deal with oppression. Knack was created by a benevolent doctor who has found a way to turn ancient relics into a sentien…

Rainbow Skies Review- Rainbow in the Dark

Rainbow Moon wasn’t a hugely impactful game when it released in 2012, but it was nevertheless a charming and scrappy RPG that found an audience who remember it fondly Come from Sports betting site VPbet . The belated follow-up, Rainbow Skies, is decidedly less memorable, serving up an RPG experience that’s better at filling time than providing entertainment. It has an enormous amount of content and a story that will take dozens of hours to play through, but unfortunately that doesn’t count for much once boredom sets in.

Rainbow Skies begins in Arca, a skybound city that floats above the continent of Lunah. Damion, a monster tamer in training and your typical RPG foolhardy hero, is preparing for his final test (which serves as a battle tutorial, naturally). Things go wrong and Damion, along with his frenemy Layne, end up falling from Arca. Down on Lunah, a young magician named Ashly is trying to master a bonding spell that will make monsters follow her commands, and after a series of predictable mishaps she ends up bonded to Damion and Layne, the three unable to leave one another’s company.

Overwatch 2 Reveals New Hero Kiriko, A Ninja Support Hero And The Protector Of Kanezaka

A new support hero is coming to Overwatch, and she’s full of life, cheeky remarks, and some seriously game-changing abilities. Revealed at Tokyo Game Show, Kiriko is the newest addition to Overwatch 2’s roster, and while her formal title might be “Protector of Kanezaka,” she might also be the most clutch player on your team.

First and foremost, Kiriko’s primary ability is to heal. She does this by sending ofuda–paper talismans offering the wielder protection–to her teammates. These ofuda hone in on their desired recipient, making them perfect for healing teammates who are airborne or far away. Her secondary ability sees her precisely aim and throw her kunai, giving her an edge of lethality that rivals actual DPS characters. In fact, Kiriko joins Genji and Widowmaker as one of the few characters who has a higher crit multiplier than the rest of the Overwatch roster, which is an impressive feat for someone who’s chiefly a support character.

Coming in with a 14-second cooldown is Kiriko’s Protection Suzu ability, which sees her ring a Suzu–or Shinto bell–and “cleanse” an area of debuffs and potentially devastating attacks, including Som…

Scarlett Johansson Sues Disney Over Black Widow Streaming Release, Disney Responds

Update: In response to the lawsuit, Disney has released a statement obtained by Variety. “There is no merit whatsoever to this filing,” it reads. “The lawsuit is especially sad and distressing in its callous disregard for the horrific and prolonged global effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.” Furthermore, the statement says the company has upheld its end of the contract, while noting the actress has already received $20 million for her role in the film, adding that “…the release of Black Widow on Disney+ with Premier Access has significantly enhanced her ability to earn additional compensation on top of the $20M she has received to date.” You can read the original story below.

Black Widow isn’t done fighting yet. Scarlett Johansson, who reprised her role as Natasha Romanoff in the latest Marvel Cinematic Universe film, has filed a lawsuit against Disney, alleging that the company releasing the movie on the Disney+ streaming service at the same time it did so theatrically was a breach of her contract.

The news comes from The Wall Street Journal, which reports that Johansson’s contract not only guaranteed an exclus…

Seth McFarlane Talks Ted TV Series, Wonders If Anyone Is Actually Interested

Peacock’s series based on Seth MacFarlane’s popular Ted film franchise about a talking teddy bear, has assembled most of its main cast. But according to a new The Hollywood Reporter interview, Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane–who directed and co-wrote both Ted films–he’s not sure what audience demand for the show will be, but is finding the process of mapping out the show to be rewarding.

“Ted, which is taking up a lot of my time right now, is a prequel, taking place in 1993,” said MacFarlane. “It centers around the period pretty shortly after Ted became kind of washed up, and he’s now living outside Boston with John and his family, and he’s forced to kind of make his way through high school. So it’s a piece of Ted’s life in between what you saw in the opening titles of the movie and in the opening montage, and where we find him with Mark Wahlberg that’s a part of that story we haven’t told yet.”

But, MacFarlane adds, “Whether people still have an appetite for Ted remains to be seen. It’s a very specific kind of comedy, but we are allowing it to be what it is.” However, in the creative process, MacFarlane adds that the story developing is “a…

GameStop Sued For Allegedly Sharing Chat Logs With A Third Party

GameStop has been sued for illegally sharing transcripts of chat logs on the company’s website with a third-party.

Like many companies, GameStop has a chat interface on its website, where users can ask questions and get help from customer service. As reported by Bloomberg, Miguel A. Licea filed the proposed class-action lawsuit on Tuesday, September 6. The filing claims that GameStop sells the chat data to Zendesk, a software company.

Additionally, the games retailer allegedly does not inform the customers using the feature that their information is being sold in violation of the California Invasion of Privacy Act. According to the claim, Zendesk “boasts of its ability to harvest personal data from the transcripts for sales and marketing purposes.”

The claim was filed in California and the extent of the class-action refers to residents of California who visited GameStop’s website and had their information recorded and/or shared without their consent.

This week, GameStop posted its earning report, which showed a loss of $108.7 million. Last month, GameStop’s NFT marketplace sold itch.io games as NFTs without the permission of the creators. In July, GameSto…

Review Roundup For The Super Mario Bros. Movie

The Super Mario Bros. Movie seems to land halfway up the flagpole critically, with the animated movie from Nintendo and Illumination earning mixed results. The presentation of the Mushroom Kingdom gets high praise, but the plot–or lack thereof–keeps reviewers from going wahoo.

That may not matter for the commercial success of the movie, though. The Super Mario Bros. Movie is eyeing a $225 million opening weekend worldwide, which would put it in prime position to become the highest-grossing video game film of all time. Warcraft currently holds the crown at $439 million worldwide.

Shudder's Creepshow Renewed For Season 3 Ahead Of Season 2 Release

Shudder’s anthology series Creepshow has been renewed for Season 3. In addition, AMC’s horror streaming service has confirmed that Season 2 will be released on April 1.

Ahead of AMC Networks’ TCA winter tour presentation, the company confirmed that not only will the six-episode Season 3 start production soon, it will also be released later this year. The second season was originally expected to be released last year, but production was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In a statement, showrunner Greg Nicotero explained, “During our season two production, Shudder was so pleased with what they were seeing that they asked us to roll right into production on a brand-new third season that will feature some of our most ambitious stories yet. I’m incredibly thankful to the team at Shudder for the opportunity to continue honoring the genre with more gleefully ghoulish tales over not one, but two new seasons of Creepshow this year.”

Nicotero previously revealed that the delay in Season 2 had given him time to work on scripts for a potential Season 3. There have also been two Creepshow specials released since Season 1 arrived in October 2019–an animated Halloween sp…

Splinter Cell Remake Loses Director

Fans rejoiced in late 2021 when Ubisoft revealed that it’s working on a Splinter Cell remake. However, that project’s director has apparently left the company, and it’s not clear what impact his departure will have.

As first spotted by VGC, director David Grivel announced the change on LinkedIn, saying that he was going on a “new adventure.” Grivel previously worked on Splinter Cell Blacklist, as well as a number of other Ubisoft franchises, including Assassin’s Creed and Far Cry. Last month, Ubisoft Toronto published a job posting that called for a scriptwriter to rewrite the original Splinter Cell’s story for modern audiences.

Back 4 Blood Separates Itself From Its Heritage With New Story Missions

When Back 4 Blood launched almost one year ago, whether you loved it, hated it, or landed somewhere in between, what was never in doubt was where the idea came from. Turtle Rock birthed the co-op horde shooter genre that, these days, gets about one or two new games added to it annually. Even its name, Back 4 Blood, is an obvious callback to Left 4 Dead, the common ancestor of the many games like it. But with its newly launched Act 5 expansion included in the game’s Annual Pass, Back 4 Blood is shedding itself of its lineage in a way that only its rogue-ish card system previously attempted.

New human-like enemies have come to the campaign as part of a mysterious cult that takes center stage in the storyline for Act 5. The Children of the Worm have a backstory that players will need to uncover through environmental clues, as usual in games like this, though the newest Cleaner, Prophet Dan, seems to be intimately familiar with them in a way that brings conflict to the otherwise close-knit group.

Though I’ve not yet finished the new expansion, I’ve so far enjoyed the novel mixing of the game’s common undead, its specially mutated mini-bosses, and these new human-like ene…

Silent Hill 2's Latest Patch Addresses PS5 Pro Performance Issues

The PlayStation 5 Pro came out of the gate earlier this month with its $700 price tag and a list of PS5 Pro-enhanced game that was supposed to offer early adapters a peak gaming experience. However, players soon reported that Silent Hill 2, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, and other games actually looked worse on PS5 Pro. Now, Konami and developer Bloober Team have addressed the issues on a new patch for Silent Hill 2.

Silent Hill 2’s 1.06 patch wasn’t just created for the PS5 Pro problems. It’s also adjusting and fixing a few issues with the PC version on Steam, but the PS5 Pro fixes are the highlight here. Prior to this update, Silent Hill 2 players on PS5 Pro noticed a number of glitches and visual distortions that weren’t happening to the game on standard PlayStation 5 consoles.

How To Unlock The H4 Blixen SMG In CoD- Warzone And Vanguard

Call of Duty Season 3 Reloaded went live on May 25, and the mid-season update added a new submachine gun for use in multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone. Here’s how you can unlock Season 3 Reloaded’s H4 Blixen submachine gun.

How to unlock the H4 Blixen

The H4 Blixen submachine gun is described as a weapon that offers mobility and accuracy in medium-range engagements. Activision says, “the H4 Blixen delivers a reliable three-shot burst at a further range than the Owen Gun, albeit with a slower rate of fire. It also has three more bullets per standard magazine and slightly better vertical recoil control, aim down sight speed, and reload quickness.”

This new gun can be unlocked either for free with an in-game challenge, or it can be purchased as a weapon blueprint with a cosmetic bundle.

Warzone

Challenge: Get three slide kills with an SMG in a single match 15 times.

The Warzone challenge is pretty straightforward. Just slide, shoot, and kill with an SMG. This might be a good challenge for players who are normally aggressive with submachine guns in the battle…
